The story of Throw Down Yo-Yos starts with a martial artist from Downers Grove, IL. After many battles over a ten year period he was finally injured. He was used to training four days a week and did not know what to do with himself after his forty hour per week job ended each night. Luckily he found a yo-yo at a local drug store while picking up his pain medication. It was all over from there. He kept up with his yo-yo training after he was fully recovered from his injury. A year later he was playing with his Duncan FreeHand Zero and thought to himself "I could improve on this design." He started out by designing weight rings for the FHZ than moved on to design his own yo-yo, The Luchador. But What would he call his new business? His girlfriend said to put his two favorites hobbies together and Throw Down Yo-Yos, a made in the U.S.A. company, was born.
